Tuhan tidak pernah menjanjikan langit selalu biru atau bunga selalu bertebaran di sepanjang jalan kehidupan. Tuhan tidak menjanjikan matahari tanpa hujan, kesukaan tanpa kesudahan, dan damai tanpa kesakitan. Tapi Tuhan menjanjikan kebutuhan untuk kelangsungan hidup, perhentian bagi pekerjaan, terang di jalan, kasih dalam kesukaran, pertolongan dari atas, belas kasihan yang tak pernah gagal, dan kasih yang tak pernah padam.
